MOT inspection

The APK (General Periodic Inspection) is mandatory for all motor vehicles. New passenger cars must undergo their first APK after 4 years, then annually. The APK checks brakes, tyres, lighting, steering, bodywork and exhaust emissions. Driving without a valid APK certificate is a criminal offence and may invalidate your insurance.
