Overtaking rules

In the Netherlands you may only overtake on the left. Overtaking on the right is prohibited except when traffic is stationary or moving slowly in lanes. Before overtaking you check your mirrors, signal, check your blind spot and only overtake when it is safe. After overtaking you return to the right lane as quickly as possible. Overtaking is prohibited at pedestrian crossings, at intersections, in limited visibility and at a solid line.
