Blind spot at trucks
Trucks and buses have large blind spots on all sides — particularly on the right and directly in front of the cab. The right blind spot can be several metres wide and up to two lanes long. If you cannot see the truck driver's mirrors, the driver cannot see you either. Cyclists and motorcyclists are particularly vulnerable. Never ride alongside a truck at an intersection if the truck might turn right.
